Twomey, Maurice beloved husband of Rosemary DiNanno, cherished father of Maureen (Edward) LoBue, Kevin (Jane), Kathleen (Raymond) Kasak, Michael (Heidi) and Patrick (Patricia), proud grandfather of Donald and Laura, Erin and David, Ryan, Sarah, Sean, Samantha, Kelly, Natalie, Heather, Mackenzie, Grace and Emily, dear brother of Joanne and the late Donald, fond cousin of many nieces and nephews of his loving late parents, William and Eileen McCarthy Twomey. Retired from Chicago Daily News, Chicago Sun-Times and Spokesman Review of Spokane. Visitation Monday, April 9th, 3 to 9 p.m., at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Hwy., Park Ridge. Funeral Tuesday, 9 a.m., to St. Alphonsis Liguori Church, 411 N. Wheeling, Prospect Hts. Mass at 10 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery. For info: 847-685-1002 or www.cooneyfuneralhome.com

Jean and I are in Florida on vacation and were called by Tony.
Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. It must be 50 years or more since we last met - I did not know Twom had returned from the State of Washington. Time goes by too quickly.

Uncle Maury was the single most important male role model in my life. I am so grateful to have known him and to have been loved by him. I cherished him and will carry him with me inside for the rest of my life.
