Matt, was by far, the best guy i have ever met... he and i were recently 'dating' and i was going to ask him to be my boyfriend on his birthday, because i knew he liked me, and i liked him a lot... actaully i think i loved him.. he was so beautiful inside and out, and he showed me so many things... like the fact that i can be capable of loving again despite my past relationships... i fell in love with matt and i wish he were still here to this very day. i would be so happy... i miss him so uch and i dont know what im going to do... i just want to be with him, right now.. i dont think any words can describe how much i adored matt, and how much sarrow i feel for him not being with us today. i loved hi so much... i wish i could have spent more time with him... i knew he would have been a great boyfriend, he was suppost to be my boy friend... but alll i can do right now is try to stay strong for his friends and his parents, sue and denny... my prayers go out to his parents, you two raised the perfect child and i know he made you two so so happy. stay strong. i love you matthew Alan Dottavio, until we meet again.

Matt was one of the sweetest guys I've ever known. I have many fond memories of him as a boy, from playing games to watching TV, and just goofing around. It was amazing to watch him grow into such a tall, attractive young man, and I am sorry I did not get to know that young man better.

My thoughts are with you, Dottavio family.

I knew Matt for 2 years and in that time we became very good friends. We would always see each other at school and he would always give me a hug and say hi. Matt was a very nice person to everyone and everytime I saw him, he would be smiling. If you were feeling down Matt would always get the best of you and put a smile on your face. That's why Matt was a great guy !

Our family has known Matt and the Dottavio's since he and Chris were in Kindergarten at St. Mary's. Our children have grown up together and shared many wonderful memories through the years. Matt had developed into a truly well rounded young man with a promising future. He was a young man of integrity, unassuming and selfless. The news of Matt's tragic passing has left our family with heavy hearts, and sadness.

Denny and Sue, Your in our thoughts and prayers. You are the type of parents many aspire to be. So giving, involved, unassuming and selfless. Matt obviously learned many of his outstanding qualities from the example the two of you have shown.

We will always remember Matt. We will continue to keep you, Denny and Sue in our prayers.
