I didn't personally know Matt, but I have a daughter who did, and one his age. I can't even imagine how hard this must be for his parents and his siblings. My heartfelt prayers go out to his family and friends. May you find peace, eventually. God bless.

It's been a long time since I've seen you or your family and I never “really knew” Matt, but I remember running into you one day at a store (years ago) while you were with the boys, and I must say, they were the cutest and sweetest and most polite little guys. I now have a 5yr-old of my own and I CANNOT imagine losing her at such a young age :(

My heart aches for you and your family! I wish there were words of advice, or wisdom I could impart to help you get through this horrible, horrible time… (smh)

All I can hope is that God holds you ALL in the palm of HIS hand as you struggle to go on without Matt. May each passing day bring a new “happy” memory, or togetherness with family and in life.

This kind of grief can be so hard to overcome, but after attending Matt's funeral mass this morning, I could see the love of many friends and family members who I am sure will help you cope as they stand beside you while you remember the life Matt lived to the fullest. Going forward, may God Bless you all, as you find a way to cherish Matt's memory without pain and sorrow.

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. Our deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.

I went to school with Matt and sat next to him in class. I will always remember how outgoing he was and how every time we walked into class he was smiling and goofing around with everyone else. We took history class together and he was so smart when it came to that class. Something about Matt was that he was so optimistic. He used to tell me how he played baseball and talked about his baby sister Emma pretty often. We would always yell across the hallways when we saw each other during a passing period and stop to talk sometimes. I only had 1 class with Matt but all of the memories from the 5 months or so we saw each other are all so fun. He was one of a kind and his personality was larger then life. That is how I like to remember Matt.
