All though I never personally knew Mary Jo, I feel I knew her well through her grandmother, Bonnie, my friend of 40 years. She was warm, beautiful, and a kind person. This tragedy is still very hard to believe. MaryJo always made time to say hello. She would pull over if she was driving through the neighborhood to see if I needed a ride, or get up from her seat at the Ramova to say hello and have a chat. She's always had a good heart and will be missed tremendously. Rest in peace, Mary and peace to your family. We will light a candle for you.

Mary Jo will forever be in my and Uncle James' heart. Her cheerful "Hey, Aunt Peg" or "How ya doin' Uncle James" will be missed. Teachers and Staff at Jones College Prep who remember Mary Jo (class of 2002) are using the words "Sweet, vibrant, and kind" to describe her. She loved being with the special needs students being their buddy and including them in the JCP school life.
