Mary Vari Obituary
Mary Alice Vari (nee Olsen), Age 69, a life-long resident of Chicago Ridge, IL, passed away on Monday, September 30th, surrounded by her precious family.
Mary was the daughter of the late Charles "Bud" Olsen and the late Grace Le Plant. She is survived by her cherished husband of 47 years, Kenneth (Ken) Vari, and their devoted children, sons Jay (Laura), Josh (Karina), Matt (Terri), only daughter Amy, and youngest son, Mikie (Kim); she will be sorely missed by her adoring grandchildren, Grace Kammer, Addison Bird, Hazel, Bree, Elliana, Piper, Mirabel, Vinnie and Lennox. All who knew her were blessed by her presence & spirit. Mary was the youngest of seven children, leaving behind brother Tom (Lola) Olsen, and Franciscan Sister Colleen Olsen -and many beloved nieces & nephews, for a long-awaited reunion with her parents, and late brothers and sisters.
Visitation Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 3-8pm at the Curley Funeral Home (Heeney-Laughlin Directors), 6116 W 111th Street, Chicago Ridge, IL 60415. Funeral Monday, October 7, 2024, 10:30am from the funeral home to Our Lady of the Ridge Church, 10836 S. Oxford Ave, Chicago Ridge, IL 60415. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am, officiated by Father Wayne Svida, former pastor of Our Lady of the Ridge Church, faithful spiritual advisor and friend of the Vari Family. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery

Too many to list! Riding bikes down 111th street to the forest preserves. Sunbathing on the roof!!! Mary wil always be a Bright light in my life! Rest in Peace , my friend!
