DANVERS — Dorothy E. (Doyle) Tully, 82, of Danvers, and formerly of Florida, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2008 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House while surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Lt. Col. George H. Tully.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Caroline (Smith) Doyle. Dorothy graduated from Peabody High School and worked as a secretary at General Electric.
She enjoyed being a homemaker for her family.
Surviving her are her five sons, Peter of Florida, James of Danvers, George of East Boston, Martin of Las Vegas and Lawrence Tully of Georgia. Also leaving a brother Arthur Doyle of Peabody, nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. in the Mackey Funeral Home, Conant Street, Danvers. Visitation will precede the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial in Wadsworth Cemetery Danvers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923. www.MackeyFuneralHome.com.

Dear Tullys:
We have many fond memories of Dot Tully. She was a great friend to our mother Joan and always had kind things to say. She was a wonderful person. Our sincere condolences.

I remember so many wonderful times at the Tully home growing up. Dotty loved her family, and her Christmas angels. I still picture her and my Mom sitting out on Dorothy's lanai, chatting and laughing. Thanks to you and George for being my Godparents.
