Bill, Lisa, Tim, Tom, and family,

We were very sad to learn of Mary's death. We all raised our kids together in DeKalb and at First Lutheran, and we have many fond memories of her. Last night on the phone our son, Scott, was recalling the spaghetti dinners for the football team at your house. We also remember her volunteer work at VBS at Walcamp. You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Mary was my 1st cousin on my mother’s side and while we had not seen each other for many years we kept in touch at Christmas. We always looked forward to receiving Mary’s Christmas letters. Her letters were not only filled with family news, but very entertaining and so much fun to read. We enjoyed many good laughs over the years. After reading her obituary I realized what a special and gifted person she was. I always thought she was beautiful and now know her real beauty came from within. She will be missed by her family and multitude of friends and will be remembered with love and gratitude by the many lives she touched and helped. Our sympathy and love go out to Bill and all the family.

Such a welcoming, wonderful woman. I have many, many fond memories of the Stach home, and Mary factored into most of them, opening her home to a gaggle of teenage girls. I am so glad to have known her. My thoughts and love go out to Dr Stach, Lisa, Tim and Tom.
