Gram was one of the strongest people that I have ever met & we are all blessed to have known her. She accepted Lexi & myself into her family without hesitation & for that we will always be greatful. Gram was the foundation of a very strong & solid family & what she built will be carried on for generations to come. God Bless you Sharkey family.

When we moved to Sacramento ave. 44 years ago, i felt lost and alone. I was sitting on the front steps and along comes mary and mariann. Mary wslcomed me to the neighborhood and i never forgot how good that welcome gesture made me feel. Mary was a lady in every sense of the word and we know how dearly missed she will be. When my Grandparents moved to another state Gram Sharkey stepped in without blinking an eye. That's just the type of person she was. I couldn't wait for Wednesday night to come around each week because I knew Gram would have an amazing dinner waiting for us. She always knew how to bring her family and friends together. Gram you will always be in my heart. I love you.

Grandma Sharkey was a wonderful woman. She cherished not only her grandchildren and great grandchildren but everyone in her life. She welcomed everyone into our family with open arms. When I think about my memories of my grandmother I remember late night sleep overs (she enjoyed her Old Style those nights), pillow fights, St. Patty's Day corned beef, Wednesday night dinners, and the famous Christmas Eve count down. It is amazing to me how close she has made this family. When I tell people about The Sharkey's they think we are pretty unique and I have learned that NOT everybody has a family like ours. Grandma has made our family strong and close and I know that she would want us to continue these traditions in her honor and remain the SAME Sharkey family she created. Memories of Gram Sharkey will be passed on and she will always have a place in our hearts. WE WILL MISS HER!
