I am so sorry for the loss of Mary Kay. I enjoyed her at the Associate Training Sessions and was delighted to find out that she was connect to the O'Rourke's of Flatley's Band.
It is a mystery as to why God took her at such a young age, but there is apparently a message to all of us. She certainly left a legacy of love for her family, for education and the families at St. Angela and to the Mercy community who's lives that she touched.

To the O'Rourke Family:

It was almost 30 years ago that I started tutoring Patty as she was a St. Ferdinand student. Of all the children I have tutored or taught, it is Patty that I still think of with great affection. Although I met Mary Kay several times at the O'Rourke house, it was from Patty's stories that I realized how special the O'Rourke family was and the special bond that they had.

In these difficult days and times ahead, I pray that you rely on that special bond and the precious memories of Mary Kay to carry you on. From everything that I have read (and heard, since a good friend of mine worked at St. Angela's with Mary Kay,) Mary Kay was an angel who now has a special place in Gpd's kingdom. I wish I had had the pleasure of knowing her. God bless you all.

I To the O'rourke family, thank you for sharing Ms. O with the St. Angela family. I am the proud parent of four Wildcats and I can't say thank you enough for all the things she has done for my family. From helping us financially to helping mold my daughter into an honor student. I can honestly say that she knew and loved each one of those kids and her opinion and word weighed heavily in my household. I affectionately referred to her as the third parent in my house as so many of my kids conversations begin with "Ms. O said," We love her so much. and she will forever be in aour hearts. I know because of her my children have grown into and will continue to be great students. Thank You Ms. O.-The Jones Family

Dear O'Rourke Family and the Community of St Angela's School

God called Mary Kay too soon, we think; to everone's surprise.
We wonder what she's doing for God, while tears still sting our eyes.

A beautiful angel has left us;
we cannot understand.
For only God has knowledge of
creation, as was planned.

Our faith has surely taught us, in our sympathy and strife;
to celebrate the "wonderful" of Mary Kay's blessed life!

We remember Mary Kay, her family and the community of St Angela's Catholic School in our thoughts and prayers.
