Dear Ed and Mulcrone Family,
I met Mary and Ed as a minister of care at Maryhaven. Their deep faith and total devotion to each other has been inspiring. What a love story! I witnessed the joy in Mary as Ed would visit her. Though watching her fail, I was also amazed at the true joy she expressed in receiving the Lord in Holy Communion. I have no doubt that Mary went straight to heaven. My deepest sympathy and prayers are with you all.

Sister Sandi Sosnowski, CSFN

November 13, 2008

Dear Ed and the entire Mulcrone family,
You all are being held in thought and prayers. May you know the inner peace that comes from your belief that your dear wife and mother is safely home with God.

It was both my privilege and honor to meet your great dad and dear mother when I worked as a student chaplain at Maryhaven. Although she was failing, yet she always seemed to recognize you Ed. After Mass, I would wheel Ed to visit with your Mom. As soon as I would enter the unit and your Mom would see Ed coming, she would begin smiling and clapping. Their deep love for each other was so obvious.

I read somewhere that wives and mothers don't die; they just go on ahead to get heaven ready to one day welcome the family they love. May that be your consolation.

Peace to all of you.
Sandi, CSFN

Your Mother is always with you.... She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street; she's the smell of bleach in your freshly laundered socks; she's the cool hand on your brow when you're not well. Your Mother lives inside your laughter. And she's crystallized in every tear drop. She's the place you came from, your first home; and she's the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love and your first heartbreak, and nothing on earth can separate you.

Not time, not space... not even death. The loss of a mother is great, my deepest condolences to you and your family. CODA hugs

Dear Fr. Joe Mulcrone and Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family. Loosing a parent is never easy. Find peace in knowing your mom's life will be remembered with fond memories.
I'm sharing a special poem:
God looked around his garden and he found an empty place,
He then looked down upon this earth and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest,
God's garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew you were suffering. He knew that you were in pain.
He knew that you would never get well on earth again.
So he closed your weary eyes and whispered "Peace be thine."
He then took you up to heaven with hands gentle and so kind.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
