I just learned of Mary's passing and feel blessed to have known her. The last line in the obit encapsulates her persona perfectly, "In her memory contribute to something." Well said.

Mary was a staunch advocate and articulated beautifully the need for a federal Department of Peace and supported The Peace Alliance (www.thepeacealliance.org) as the necessary grassroots effort to help bring this to fruition. Her wisdom, wit and firm belief in human achievement is deeply appreciated and will be missed. Dot Maver, President, National Peace Academy, USA

The Liebman family,
In speaking for the Friends of MCC Foundation and McHenry County College; I want to tell you how sorry we all were to hear of Mary's passing. We have all enjoyed meeting with her at different times, listening to her wisdom, passion and conviction when she spoke. She was such a wonderful woman, with so much kindness in her heart, we will all miss her very much. Through her generosity, Mary helped so many people continue their education, and also helped increase their understanding and appreciation of the arts, it was truly an honor to have known her. To the Liebman Family,
Joyce and I are so sorry to read in the Tribune of Mary's passing. From reading her obituary, she had a very active and full life (believe she was ten years younger than her Uncle Joe, my Dad, which put her into her nineties). Will always cherish the fond memories and good times we had at the Bruhnke Farm family get togethers. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you during this sad time in your lives. She was quite some lady!
