I have had many blessings in my life, but my favorite blessing was the honor and privilege of calling Mary my friend. She had a way of making every person she met feel as though they were the most important person in her life. When you needed her, she was there, no questions. All it took was a roll of her eyes to make me laugh. And when I needed to cry, she was there to tell me things would get better and I always believed her. She was at times a mother, at times a friend and always an inspiration. I will never forget the joy she brought. My last memory of her is at my wedding 10 weeks ago. Her presence there made my special day complete. Thank you Mary, for being part of my life. And thank you to the Keane family for always making me feel like part of the family.

I am Karen's former college roommate and dear friend.



From the time I met Karen and her parents in the Fall of 1985, I saw what a beautiful family she had. Her mother Mary quickly took me on as though I were another one of her daughters. I continued to see the Keane family, although infrequent, but enjoyed the warmth and openness of Mr. and Mrs. Keane each time I visited. God bless you Karen. The 23rd Psalm - The Lord is My Shepherd I will say this prayer for your mom.

In the course of our lives, we meet many people. I was fortunate to be Mary's friend for 51 years. As children we shared many experiences and dreams. Her marriage and life with "Billy" made her so very happy. She was so proud of all of her children and loved those grandchildren so much. It is true, some people come into our lives and leave, others come in and leave their mark and we are never the same. My love to you Billy and to all your family. Mary will never be forgotten.

It was a pleasure to have known Mary. I will always remember the great smile on her face, and the fun you knew you would have whenever she was around. It was great to have you and all your family as a part of the Waukesha community.

Mary Keane held a very special place in the hearts of the Delaney clan. Mike, Shawn, Kelli, David, and Mark always thought of her as a second Mother. She was a special friend to Gail. Now there are two angels watching over the Delaneys and the Keanes.

I feel incredibly privileged to be a friend of the Keane Family. Mary and Bill have been so welcoming to me during my visits to Chicago that I always felt like a member of the family. Mary will be dearly missed by the many, many lives that she has touched.

I will always remember Aunt Mary's laugh - that way she had of chuckling at the tough stuff life brought and the great stuff too. Her positive outlook was always an inpsiration.

Over the past 12 years I have had the sincere joy of being able to get together with the Keane family on many occasions. Mary and Bill always made me feel welcome in their homes and part of the family. These occasions were always marked by a great deal of love, a great deal of laughter, and of course, a massive amount of wonderfully cooked food by Mary that could feed 10 times the number of people who were there. I am so honored to have known Mary and to see the amazing impact she has had on so many people around her. Her love and generosity will forever be etched in the lives of her children and grandchildren who carry on her legacy every day of their lives.

My thoughts and prayers are with friend Tracey and her family during this sad time. Mary Catherine left an admirable legacy of a loving and caring family based on my experience with Tracey.

Our condolences to Mary Pat and the entire family. We will keep your mother and all of you in our thoughts and prayers.

I met Mr. and Mrs. Keane several times throughout college at MU. Friends and I spent New Year's Eve at her home with Mary Pat and Matt, and Mrs. Keane was the breakfast making nurturer. Your family will be in our families prayers-may the soft winds of God keep you held tightly.

The loss of Mary Catherine to Bill and all her family is great. She was a loving and giving person to all her knew her. This is so evident in the wonderful and close family she mothered. She was a joy and is missed by all.

Mary Keane is my sister-in-law.



- What that means is that I always knew she was there if I ever needed her.

- It means that she made my brother, Bill, a happy, jovial guy who knew he was loved without reservation.

- It means that her six wonderful children have a strength of purpose and a love for living that she lived.

- It means that her grandchildren were loved and spoiled beyond one's imagination -- which she always said was "the purpose of a grandmother."

- It means that her children's spouses were loved as if they were her very own.

- It means that her close friends remained her close friends no matter where they lived.

- It means that her belief in God and a heavenly reward gives us all peace to know she is at peace.



She will live on in the wonderful Mullahy and Keane clans. Thank you, Mary.

I have been honored to be an auxilliary member of the Keane family for 11 years! Ever since Matt and I came for Easter in 1992, I have felt completely welcomed by the Keane family. I am honored to know every one of them. Mary Keane will be sorely missed, but her spirit will live on through so many of her family and friends. We have all gained an angel in heaven.

To the whole Keane family, but especially my good friend Mary Pat. Your mother was a warm, compassionate and friendly person. I have fond memories of hanging out with the whole family during our high school days! Your mom always made me feel like part of the family! She will be missed greatly but we will hold her forever in our hearts. May God Bless you and Keep you!

We wish to express our sincere condolences to the Family of Mary Catherine Keane. We are the parents of David and Maria Gonzales of Lake Zurich and acquaintences of Laurie and Kevin Leahy. We remember meeting Mary Catherine and the rest of the family at Kevin and Laurie's wedding. We marveled at what a wonderful family Mary Catherine and Bill have. Although I didn't know Mary Keane personally, I was astounded by her strength and the amount of love she gave to all around her. My wonderful friend, MaryPat always spoke of her mother and I could clearly picture a generous, humorous, kind, strong woman. I aspire to be a courageous as Mary was.

Grandma Mary was an amazing woman. Her love and compassion for her family and friends have left a huge impression on all who knew her. I'll never forget how she took me in as another kid and made me feel like a part of the family when I started dating Mary Pat. I knew then that this was a family I would love to be a part of. Thank you, Mom, for sharing your gifts with us. We will miss you forever.
