Cummins, Mary J.

Mary J. Cummins, age 85, of New Lenox, IL, passed peacefully on September 3, 2022 at St. Patrick's Residence in Naperville Illinois. Mary was born on May 17, 1937 to the late Margaret V. Cummins (nee Gilbride) and Harry A. Cummins in Chicago, IL. She was married once to the late William Enoch. Mary was foster Mother to the late Erick A. Paz-Lopez and is survived by Erick's widow, her beloved Daughter in Law Maria del Socorro Paz-Ramirez, and Grandsons William Paz-Ramirez and Norman Paz-Ramirez. Mary was a graduate of Mercy High School in Chicago and received her Bachelor's Degree from College of Saint Teresa in Winona, Minnesota. Mary continued her education at Loyola University and earned a Master's Degree in social work. Mary was a long-time resident of New Lenox and a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church. Mary loved all animals big and small, and was Mom to many birds, cats, and dogs, and loved to care for each and every one of them. A Memorial Service for Mary will be held at St. Jude's Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd Avenue, New Lenox, Illinois on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held immediately after at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 6001 W. 111th Street, Alsip, Illinois 60803.
