I still miss Mary every day of my life. She not only was my friend, but everytime I saw her she made me laugh. Her bright smile and beautiful shiny hair always made her look radiant. I miss her very much. To you my dear Mary.

I would like to extend my DEEPEST sympathy on the loss of one of the most beautiful women I have ever met -- MARY COLLETTI. Not only was her voice beautiful, but her face, her personality, her presence, her everlasting smile was the best.



Her passion for teaching was unbelievable. Her friendship was so strong that I am going to miss her very much. The snack theatre family will miss her glorious voice and her wonderful laugh. I will never forget you Mary Colletti. My sympathy to the Colletti family, her dear mother and her best friends Jo Styler, Steve Sevak and Cynthia Palm.

Dear Colletti Family:



Mary was a very special lady indeed and far too young to be taken from us!. She began teaching at St.M.M. the year I graduated, 1978.



I was so fortunate to have a rather long and very positive conversation with Mary (and Cynthia Palm) at the St. MM Reunion Party this past summer. We discussed so many topics with laughs and I thank goodness I was able to express my gratitude to her for ALL she has done for St. MM and its extended family!



I can't accurately put into words the fondness I felt for Mary and her commitment to teaching and the community at St. MM...we have truly lost and "angel among us".



Mary's mark on the world will surely be measured by the kindness and eductional opportunities that she spread and shared with so many!

I graduated from SMM over 16 years ago, and Ms. Colletti was a teacher of mine. I'll always remember her passion for teaching and her beautiful singing at all of our school masses. Thank you Ms. Colletti, you will be missed. My deepest sympathy to Ms. Styler and the entire Colletti family.

We are so sorry to hear about the passing of 'our Mary'. She will always be in our memories, of our most treasured times together. (18 years together at SMM) Her passing is like the light of the sun - it difuses its light here all day and then is gone - only to continue shining in another place..and never really gone. Thank you Ms. Colletti for a wonderful memory of seventh grade. I appreciate your passion for teaching and your care for your students. I had you for seventh grade in 87-88. My heart goes out to your family and friends.

I met Mary in the first grade at HOC and remember many happy times at the Colletti house on Laramie. My deepest sympathies to the Colletti Family.

Our hearts are sad at the loss of such a beautiful person. Mary lit up the room when she entered, always with a big smile. Our daughter Joanne has lost her dearest friend.

Mary had a beautiful voice- she was a giving person of all her talents as a teacher and leader and friend. It was a joy to sing with her on Christmas Eve. We will miss her. All my sympathy to the Colletti's, to her students and colleagues and to Jo.

I have worked with Mary and Mike in the Chicago Catholic Forensic League for 10 years, where Mary was known as a superior and respected judge, as well as a kind and thoughful collegue. Both my brother and myself had Ms. Colletti and she was a favorite of both of ours. She will be deeply missed and we both agree that Mass at SMM wont be the same with out her beautiful voice.

Eventhough the girls and I have never had the pleasure and privelege of meeting Mary Catherine, my heart is saddened by the great loss your family and our world is experiencing in her passing. She must have had a strong and special spirit; she impressed many lives. Eventhough she lived only a short time amongst us, she lived a fuller life than most of us in this world can claim; she made many an impressionable mark on those she met along the way. I was a customer at her Walgreens. I'll always remember her as the sweet, pretty girl with the pencil behind her ear. I wish I had been a personal friend.

My deepest sympathies to all those affected by this terrible loss. I graduated from S.M.M. in 1990 and Ms. Colletti was a favorite teacher of mine and many. Not only was she a wonderful teacher but she was also both funny and kind-hearted. At least we can find comfort in the fact that she is now with the Lord. God Bless.

Heaven gained another beautiful angel to be in the choir. Mary was a wonderful singer and an awesome lady; the Girl Scout Ceremony will never be the same. My deepest sympathy and whole heart go out to the entire Colletti family.

I was a student of Ms. Colletti's in the 1980's. I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing. She was not only a wonderful teacher, but an incredibly kind and compassionate person. Please know I will keep Ms. Styler and her family in my prayers.

Mary was one of the soloists at my son Mark (and Tracy) Ryan's wedding as well as an unforgetable presence at the Snack Theater affiliated with St. Margaret Mary's Parish. She was a lovely lady and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
