Mary Caruso was my Dad's Aunt which made her my Great Aunt. My Father, Emanual Lucente, son of Rose and Rocco Lucente is the sister of Mary Simone which is how I heard about Great Auntie Mary's passing. We, my Dad and myself, last saw Great Auntie Mary at my Aunt Mary's home in Boilingbrook several years ago. She looked awesome - I couldn't get over how alive she was. Where my Dad who was76 at the time was walking with a cane and had many medical problems Great Auntie Mary was just fine. Dad loved being able to say hi.
I'm sorry to hear she passed but she made a lasting impression on me - as a child I remember going to see her in Cicero with my Dad and Mom, Marilyn.
My prayers are with you.

Dear Joe and Dolly and all related family of Mary:
I will remember all the kind thoughts and wishes that Mary expressed to all in time of need. She was a Grandmother to many children as a crossing guard in Cicero Ill. who watched over several generations, and giving them comfort and shelter when their was rain and snow. Her kindness in taking care of animals staying at the office late hours watching over them and always putting on a cup of coffee when someone came in. Mary greeted you with a smile and never forgetting to say "God Bless You" upon someone leaving.
May the Love of Family and Friends bring you comfort in the time of sorrow and the words of Mary "May God Bless you" all.
