Mary Kay became a good friend of mine. I was fortunate to know her over the last few years. A loving, fun, great sense of humor just a great over all person. Her devotion to her religion always praying and caring for others in need...even in her times of need and distress. We will miss you Mary Kay! Forever in our thoughts. All my early memories of Mary Kay are the same. We're at someone's birthday party or christening, 1st Communion or Christmas, both of us in "don't get dirty" party dresses, another sheet cake, Mary Kay looking for whatever mischief she can find and trying to convince me to join her ~ "don't worry - we won't get caught".

Fast forward 10 years - my first week of high school, a freshman at Longwood when Mary Kay suddenly appears at the front of my class and hands a note to the teacher who calls out my name and tells me to take all my stuff and go with "this girl". The next thing I know I'm in the backseat of a car with Mary Kay and a bunch of her friends, music blaring, smoking, laughing, just having fun - seizing the day -

Mary Kay had spirit, which is the root of 'spiritual' which I trust is standing her in good stead now.

I'm so glad I knew you Mary Kay

Love,
your cousin, Marianne
