Bartek, Mary (nee Semerad), age 84, of Lombard, beloved wife of John Bartek, loving mother of Susanne (Dr. Silviano) Gomez, dear daughter of the late Johanna (nee Koresch), and Frank Semerad, devoted grandmother of Silviano (Jennifer) Gomez, Mary Luz (William) Heern and Angela (Ed) Lam, great-grandmother of Gabriella and Sophia Heern and Isabella Lam. She will be missed by friends and family. Mary enjoyed her 20+ years in the accounting department at Olympic Savings. She was previously involved in many community activities, especially with Sts. Peter and Paul Church. She will be fondly remembered for her Bohemian cooking, crocheting and gardening. Service Tuesday, April 7th at Sts. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church (Corner of Des Plaines Ave. and 31st St.) Riverside. In state 10 to 11 a.m., service at 11 a.m. Interment Mt. Vernon Memorial Estate Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial to Sts. Peter and Paul church or York Township Meals on Wheels are appreciated. Info: 630-932-1500.
