Marvin Anderson Obituary
GLENDIVE: Marvin Edward "Andy" Anderson, age 77, of Glendive, died at the Eastern Montana Veterans Home in Glendive on Saturday, April 5, 2008.
Cremation has taken place and memorial services and interment will take place in Saronville, Neb., on June 8. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive is entrusted with arrangements.
Marvin was born July 28, 1930, in Gordon, Neb., the son of Mathew Gus and Mary (Bell) Anderson. He was raised and educated in Gordon. Marvin served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Following his discharge from the military, Marvin returned to Nebraska, where he married Luella Mae Erickson in Sidney, Neb., in 1955. He had been employed in the roofing business and various construction projects in Nebraska, Florida, South Dakota and Montana.
Marvin had been a resident of Glasgow and Glendive off and on for 50 years. He then moved to the Eastern Montana Veterans Home in Glendive, where he has resided for the past four years.
Marvin especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Marvin was preceded in death by his wife in 1977; two sisters; one brother and one grandson.
Marvin is survived by four daughters, Linda Anderson of Grundy Center, Iowa, Cindy Meidinger and her husband Duane of Glasgow, Teri Diesen of Miles City and Mary Anderson of Glasgow; four sons, Steve Anderson and his wife Deb of Delano, Minn., Matt Anderson and his wife MaryAnn of Miles City, Mark Anderson of Glasgow and Levi Anderson of Cody, Wyo. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all of the nurses and CNAs at the Eastern Montana Veterans Home in Glendive for taking such good care of their dad for the past four years.
