Smith, Martin "Smitty" J. age 77, beloved husband and best friend of Kathleen (nee Morley) for 51 years, loving father of Kathy Smith, Patricia (Don) Manhard and Colleen (Mike) Panfil, awesome grandfather of Donnie, Michael, Zachary and Joshua, caring brother of Kathleen Loftus and the late Sister Margaret Rose, and the late Mary Miller. Funeral Thursday, May 21, 2009, 9:30 a.m. from the Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 S. Harlem Ave., Tinley Park, IL 60477 to St. Stephen Church Mass, 10:00 a.m. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 120 Wall Street, 19th Floor, New York, NY 10005. Smitty was a member of Local #130.
