Dear Barb and everyone,
Mitch and I are sitting here in California, remembering dear Marty and his gracious hospitality during the trip I made to Joilet several years ago. Marty took me around - a warm, charming, and well-informed tour guide - showing me the house where my mother Charlotte grew up, the old Lewis Bros shoe store, the synagogue. He gave me not only a tour of the sites; he gave me a tour of the spirit of the Lewis family in Joliet, because he embodied that spirit.
We send you our thoughts and prayers and share your loss.

To all Lewis family,
May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief, the close ones and the ones that are really far but thinking about you. I didn't know Mr. Marty Lewis but know two of his children (Barb & Linda) and am supporting them both specially in prayers.
