I remember Martha as a warm, loving young lady that became one of my many good friends from my student nursing days at Moore General Hospital. If there are any of you out there..please contact me..let's get together to remember Martha..

She and I stayed in contact over the years, but where does time go to? As we all march on in life, we shall leave, leaving behind fond memories. I remember piercing Marthas' ears with an ice cube and sterile needle, delightful dinners at her home with her family in Weare, a loving, kind person...

I shall miss you...Love, Beryl

Rest in peace.

I have very fond memories of Martha. In June of 1996, I had a total hip replacement and was admitted to St. Joseph Residence for rehab. Martha was one of the charge nurses at that time and I can only remember how kind, gentle, and very professional she was in caring for me. I'm sure many other sisters had similar positive experiences. Thank you Martha for your kindness and caring throughout your service at St. Joseph Residence. We will remember you in our loving prayers.

As the prior administrator of the Nursing Home where Martha formerly worked, I was quite saddened to hear of Martha's passing. Martha was very dedicated to the Sisters under her care and her ultimate goal was always for their benefit. She could always be counted upon to help out in a pinch. Her dedication to the Sisters was an aceivement of which to be proud. Martha was extremely helpful to me when I first arrived at the nursing home. The past success of the home in part belongs to Martha. She often worked double shifts to cover for others or to help fill in when we were short. She was dedicated not because of the financial reward but because of the positive impact she could have on the residents as well as they on her.
