Marla Shobe Obituary

Shobe, Marla Jean

Marla Jean Shobe, loving wife, mother, and friend, born in Marion, OR on 1/10/53 (D. 09/15/2024).

Marla met her beloved husband, Roy Shobe, in Evergreen Park, IL. Their life together was an adventure shaped by Roy's service in the Navy, which took them from Illinois to Washington, California, Hawaii, Connecticut, and Virginia, before eventually returning to Evergreen Park.

She was the devoted mother of 3 children: Terra (Joel), Leslie (Brett), and Matthew (Katie), and 6 beautiful grandchildren: Sydney, Phoebe, Beckett, Rhylan, Emma, and Emelia who each carry on her spirit and values. Her nurturing love and dedication to her family were unwavering, and she will forever be remembered for her warmth, strength, and selflessness.

Her presence touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Please join us to celebrate her life at Krapils Steakhouse & Patio in Worth, IL on October 12, 2024 from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Sorry this is late, I just found out your mom passed. So I hope this finds you. I have fond memories of hanging out at your house in highschool. Making a welcome home banner with your mom, when Matt was visiting from California. Your mom was so kind and loving. She always made me feel like part of the family. I'm really sorry for your loss.
