The bond was set as kids, Mark always had a place in my heart. I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of Mark. My heart goes out to his family. I'm sure Marky will make more friends in a month up stairs, then most make in a lifetime.

Words can not express how deeply sadden me and my family were to hear that Mark had passed. I've known Mark since he was a little boy of about 5yrs old. The years didn't change him, in fact the older he got the more loving he became. He was a great kid and grew into a wonderful man. I will always remember how loving he was to everybody. To his mom and dad, dear friends of mine,I wish there was someway I could make this easier for you. I will pray that you find comfort in knowing that your son was so loved. To his children and wife I send my deepest condolences. Our loss is heaven's gain.

Time and distance has separated Mark and me since those childhood days of playing “IT”, volleyball, or just hanging out in the neighborhood, but my heart has always held very dear one particular moment of kindness from Mark. At 15 I was sent to live with family in Ecuador for a year. Upon my return to the neighborhood, Mark was one of the first old friends I saw on Little Throop, actually I think he saw me first because what I remember is that big beautiful smile running over to greet me and then a warm hug. The confused and displaced teenager that I was at the time needed that act of kindness, as I felt the world I grew up in had been changed during those 12 months away. I don't think I shared much time with Mark again after that day, as our lives HAD changed and we had moved on to different high schools, friends and activities. I'm saddened to learn that Mark has passed away so young but from the other entries here I see that he continued to illuminate the world with that radiant smile and that great big heart. The memory I have will continue to live with me but my thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones who will miss his presence. May the wealth of your memories help bring you peace.

Mark, you were always a very sweet person, even as a child. You have one of the biggest and best smiles I have ever seen and a heart to match it. Your laughter and good humored nature was infectious. Always pulling pranks and teasing. You have been loved and will be greatly missed by all who have had the privelege knowing you. Give Jeanette a big hug from everyone down here who misses her. Love you!

Eileen, we are so sorry, and love you very much. I light this candle for you in this very difficult time. You know you can lean on us at any time, day or night. You made Mark the happiest man ever and we love you so much for that. When the two of you walked into a room with those big smiles on your faces, everyone else would smile. The two of you were always smiling. His room lightening smile and his Humor and Pranks will be missed by so many. He touched so many lives.
To: Markie and Nicole, we are here for you too, but we know, you already know that, we love you all so much. Your Dad will be truly missed. Mark, I LOVE YOU MORE!! Love Auntie Virg and Uncle Eric

Uncle Mark everyone has a fond memory of you that we will never let go...I will always remember all the fun I had with you and Auntie Net (Jeanette) growing up from obviously Grandstand to selling peanuts at gate 5 but stopping to grab our gravy bread and a cone, family parties at Grandma's house or yours next door and so many more. we will all cherish certain memories of you but one thing that will be the same in all of them is your smile that warmed our hearts, your sense of humor, and most importantly your pranks...we will miss you dearly but you left us 2 wonderful children Markie and Nicole and there families to carry on all that you and auntie net were....I love you!!!! May you rest in peace I know you are up there pulling pranks and teaseing everyone especially Aunt Jeanette.....
