Why hasn't it gotten easier? It hurts just like that same Wednesday afternoon. Please let me wake up now and PLEASE let everything be alright. Let my little family be whole again because I'd honestly give up anything. I am so sad. And I just don't understand.

My Uncle Mark was the sweetest honest man in my family besides my Grandfather who had a stroke and couldn't speak at the time anyways. I moved away from chicago when I was young but I will always remember his smile and that for some reason I always liked bringing him a beer while he watched sports at my Grandparents house. You are loved and will always be missed my dearest Uncle Mark. I know the the Karaskiewicz's will continue to be strong and we will all hold you in our hearts.

It was as if when this day came along, it could be the one day out of the year that we could show you how much we appreciate you. You never wanted anything but we always tried to make you happy on this day. I always always made you a cake. I'm sorry I never found the perfect chocolate cherry cake recipe, I thought I still had time. But time just cheats you now doesn't it? Well at least you always knew you could depend on getting another shirt. Happy Birthday Daddy! I REALLY miss you, Forever Young.

My Dad didn't have a biological father figure in his life and
it hurt him a lot but he had his mom's brother, Uncle
Father. He was like a Father to my Dad. Uncle Father has
just passed away but I know he is now with my Dad and
my Dad is probably so happy that they're together now.
My Dad lived a wonderful life, full of genuine love and
care. He has taught me values that no one else will ever be
able to, which I will pass on down to my children. He taught
the true definition of a father, it is a title that is earned
and not just frivolously given. A Father is always there for
you and never abandons you.
My Dad is my best friend, I think about him everyday at least
every hour but usually more (and that is said with no
exaggeration). He is currently all that is on my mind. I
miss our phone calls. We talked for hours at night and would
stay up late watching Nick at Nite together, on the phone and
every weekend I came home. I told my Dad everything!. He
knows all my friends cause I told him everything about each
one. He has counseled me through all my rough times. He
knows me better then anyone else. He has been involved in my
life completely. After all I am Daddy's little girl.
I miss my Dad more then anyone can comprehend. No one will
ever devote as much time and effort to me as my Dad did. He
would talk to me every single night no matter what and we
would talk for hours. He got me through my first week of
school, constantly reminding me that I can come home any day
I want. My Dad would count down the days it would take for
him to see me next. He always picked me up from the bus stop
and the first thing he would do is hug me and hold me there
as if it had been years since he had seen me last. Then we
would ride back home in his mustang convertible with the top
down and the radio blasting good old Rod Stewart! My Dad is
the strongest individual I have ever met. He no doubt is
also the coolest individual I have ever met. My Dad made
anything cool. He made a black pink-flowered 'Chicago'
baseball cap look cool. He brought the game of foosball back
into action. He would help anyone and did. If you ever
asked my Dad for a favor he always did it, no questions
asked. He threw the biggest and greatest parties. He missed
out on his own graduation party so he made sure that all of
his kids had the biggest graduation parties possible.
He was the best dancer, he would twirl me around and when I
was younger he would dance on his knees just so I could reach
him. He would catch me in the air as I would always love to
run into his arms, never afraid for a second that he would
drop me.
It isn't fair that God took my Dad away, but life isn't
fair and like my Dad always told me when he feels bad he
thinks of all the good things he has. I have many, and I
will hold on to them all just like I held on to my Dad. My
Dad passed away knowing he was loved. I will miss so many
things, mostly our talks and his signature wink that he would
always give me, but also all those times when I would pass by
my Dad in the house and always just hug him. I never left
the house, went to sleep or got out of the car without saying
good-bye and giving my Dad a kiss. I will continue to pray
for/to my Dad and even though I can't hear a response I know
he's listening. Dad would never leave me, he'll always be
with me. I can't wait until I am with you again, I love you
Daddy.

Dear Lil, Paul, Tim, Mike, Guadalupe and children.
I was so deeply saddened to hear about Mark. I remember holding him when I was 5 years old. He was always so loving and sweet. In time, may your wonderful memories of Mark replace the sadness you are feeling today. I only wish we had stayed in touch.
How wonderful that he got married and had such a big family. I know he was a wonderful husband and father.
It will be very hard for you, but you have each other. Cling tight.
Lil, you were wonderful to me, and
and my childhood memories are filled with love from you and your family. Boys, you were the brothers I never had.
My prayers are with with you all.

Lupe & kids, Mom, Mike,Tim & Paul , if I were asked to speak of Mark, this is what I would say:I met him when he was 15 yrs old and already practicing his imitations of his great idols, John Wayne, Dean Martin, Jimmy Stewart, etc....He was always smiling and helpful and good natured. I became an official member of the family and Shortly after Mark married Lupe.(and sang that's amore at his wedding) Lupe and Mark made a recording of "I've got you babe" and I've always thought it was such a right song for all of us at that time. His dream in life was to fall in love and raise a family, being the best father he could be. I believe (except for leaving us too soon) he accomplished that. Each child starting with David was special to Mark and since I had none they were special to me. I helped Mark make Christopher's first formula, Gina Marie has my name, I could go on and on. When I was no longer an official member, Mark Did not change at all and is responsible for me remaining part of the family. Our football arguments and bets are legendary. He encouraged me to try fooz ball, never could I even Attempt to win....Christmas was always special and Mark always the camera man. I know Mark is proud of how strong and caring David and Chris have been, I know he sees Gina Marie's strength and is very proud of Anthony and Markie's readings. You know he liked the Green Bay flowers the best. Along with all of you he kept me part of the family and for that I will always be grateful. I love you all and know that some way we will all get through this time. Mark when you're ready and settled, send us some help....

We were so saddened to hear about Mr "K". We will always remember the good times when our girls were growing up and the beautiful Catillion. I for one know Joanna always loved the sleep overs and all night Fooz Ball games. Mr "K" was the Fooz Ball king!
