Marjorie Shumate, 53, a native of Lauderdale, Mississippi, devoted mother of LaShaun, Randi, Dondi, Kenneth, Tracey, and Chamora, entered into rest, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, October 1, 2000. Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday, October 4, 2000, 4 p.m., at Thompson’s Rose Chapel, 3601 5th Avenue, Sacramento, California. Ms. Shumate will be sent home for burial and final rites. Services are scheduled for Saturday, October 7, at Antioch Baptist Church, Meridian, Mississippi. Burial will be at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
