Marjorie Pedigo Obituary

MARJORIE FINGER PEDIGO, age 96, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at her home in Sevierville, Tennessee. Mrs. Pedigo was born February 15, 1917 in Saugerties, New York. She received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Tufts University and ran a successful tax service in Marion, Virginia for many years. Mrs. Pedigo was an Army wife who lived in Japan and Germany after World War II. She was very active in the Girl Scouts, a member of the Mt. Rogers Naturalist Rally and a volunteer for the Smyth County Hospital in Marion, Virginia. Mrs. Pedigo is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Lafayette Pedigo, Sr and her parents, John Adam Finger, Sr and Anna Ethel Simmons Finger. She is survived by her children, Roger Lafayette Pedigo, Jr.(Anne Packard), of Campton, New Hampshire, Jean Elizabeth Pedigo Terry(Robert Terry), of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Martha Simmons Pedigo Wise, of Aldi, Virginia; grandchildren, Jeremiah Luke Terry, Allison Christine Terry Cate and Lauren Elyse Wise. The family will receive friends from 6-7pm, Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, Tennessee. The memorial service will follow at 7pm. Family and friends will meet at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Lyons View at 11:30am, Monday, May 6, 2013 for the graveside service.
