Marion Link Obituary

Link, Marion L. 92, of Glenview, died June 16 at The Wealshire, in Lincolnshire, Illinois. Mrs. Link was born February 21, 1919 in Fargo, North Dakota, to Gina and Syver Syverson. She is survived by her loving daughter, Susan Link Olsen and son-in-law, Kenneth R. Olsen, former Bishop of the Metropolitan Chicago Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and her beloved grandson, Todd R. Medland, of Chicago. She is remembered with great love by her nieces Anne Woolsey of Minnetonka, MN; Karen Bowen of Dayton, MN; her nephew Jay Syverson, of Chicago, IL and her grand nieces and great grand nieces in the Minneapolis area. . She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Alford Link, her sister Mildred Syverson Jones, and her twin brothers, James Bennett and Emery Bernard Syverson. Design and music were her passions Family, friends, and her church were her cornerstones. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6 from 10am until time of the service at 11am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2328 Central Road,(at Shermer Rd.) Glenview, her church for 54 years. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Midwest Palliative and Hospice Care Center, 2050 Claire Court, Glenview, IL 60025-7635 and Alzheimer's Disease, 8430 W. Bryn Mawr, Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60631. Funeral information 847-998-1020.

Susan - I just recently learned about Marion. Please know that you have my deepest sympathy. I have fine memories of Marion and I know that she is with the Lord.

Susan and Mr. Olsen, I am so sorry to hear of your dear, dear, mother's death. My most favorite scripture is absence from the body is presense with the Lord! What a joy! I can imagine the wonderful reunion she is having right now! Respect and Love to you.
