Please accept my condolences - haven't seen you both since we were kids and my sisters and I called your mom "Aunt Marion". I know how difficult this is for you, and I'm sorry I can't be there to tell you in person. Your mom, Marion, will be in my heart forever.

I am so sorry to learn of Marion's passing. I just heard from another coworker of ours too late to attend services. Marion and I worked together for a number of years at Marriage & Family Counseling Service. She was dedicated to serving families. One anecdote I can report involves a man who was her client and who abhorred the concept of counseling and mediation. Because he was court ordered to see her, he did. After she helped him and his children, he became a believer and was, in fact, able to move on in his life and remarried. Marion's work with him made a huge difference in his life. May she rest in peace.

Mom and I just talked to Marion a week ago. She seemed so vibrant, so healthy, so Marion, that this comes as a complete shock. We share your grief from here in Michigan and hope you are comforted by all the wonderful people your mom called "friend." We will surely miss her! Love to you, Susan and Lars
