Dear Mr. Toepper and Family:
I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Marilyn - she was a wonderful lady. I worked at Zoar Lutheran School from 1986-1992 and she often gave me guidance as a new teacher. Marilyn was an excellent teacher and the students and staff at Zoar loved her. She will be missed very much by all. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Mr. Toepper and Family,
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Mrs. Toepper was my Kindergarten teacher at Zoar Lutheran School in 1983. Although the years have gone by quickly, it was always nice to catch up when we happened to cross paths at Concordia or even at Russell's BBQ. She will truly be missed.

Dear Mr. Toepper and Family,
Mrs. Toepper was my kindergarten teacher and I am now in 7th grade.
What I remember about Mrs. Toepper was always going into school and meeting a smiling teacher. Mrs. Toepper was not only one of the best teachers I will and ever have had, but I also thought of her as a friend. Mrs. Toepper made me feel like I was special and she made it clear that each and everyone of us was special to God. Along with learning to read and write we also got to explore God’s creation with field trips that I still remember today. She made school a place where we would enjoy going and learning new things. I will never forget her.

Dear Mr. Toepper and Family,
Mrs. Toepper was my kindergarten teacher at St. John's and i am now a freshman in highschool. I will never forget “kindergarten kapers”. I remember Mrs. Toepper spending hours with us until we got our songs and dances done. My class took a while, but she kept telling us we could do it and to try one more time. That’s how Mrs. Toepper was. She was always encouraging towards us and never made us feel hopeless, even when it seemed like we were. I will miss her, and will keep all of you in my prayers.

God's blessings to you, Robert, and to all your family. When I think of Marilyn, I always smile; she was always so caring, good-hearted and professional. She really helped me as I was learning to be a teacher, both as a mentor and as a friend. I know she is safe with Jesus, and I pray that you will feel the comfort of his salvation even in your sorrow.

To the family of Marilyn Toepper; Robert, and especially the children, Carrie, Michael, Christina and Matthew:
You may remember me as "Miss Watson", the second grade teacher from St. John Lutheran in Forest Park. I am now teaching first grade at St. Bernardine Catholic School. (I converted about 18 years ago.) I thought I ran into your mom about a year ago, but I may have lost track of time. So I was shocked to hear of her death.
I am very sorry for your loss. Marilyn was such a wonderful person and a faithful Christian. My sister died this past year on Christmas Day...so I know it is really hard to lose someone right before or during the "holidays". I remember that you were a close family so I am sure that you will lean on each other and on the Lord. You will be in my prayers at this difficult time.
God bless you,
Mrs. Hansberry (Miss Watson)
