I also had the pleasure of working with Marilyn for 10 of her 40 years in the telecommunications business. And what a pleasure it was. We would both "think out loud" in our neighboring cubicles. Both talking away, but not to each other, just thinking out loud. Marilyn and her cruises! I sometimes think she kept the cruise industry alive singlehandedly for many years. And, of course, who could forget the pound cakes?
As I said many times before, and will continue to say whenever Marilyn Horejes' name comes up in conversation, as it invariably will, she was "the best in the business..."!!

Hard to put into a few sentences how much this lady was liked by all of us who worked with her, beginning with VCA in 1981, and ending with Allied Vaughn just a few years ago! Always upbeat and ready to help . Many laughs & stories thru the twists and turns of this company…. We'll miss you Mare… Kim Durham

I had the pleasure of working with this wonderful woman at Allied/Vaughn... (VCA...Teletronics..) We had a lot of fun throughout the years. She was such a hard worker, but sure knew how to have fun too! I have her to thank for teaching me how to talk to myself while working :)
She became famous for her delicious pound cake that she brought to the office, and it was always enjoyed by all. Even after she retired, she would make sure that my father-in-Law got one of her fruit cakes at Christmas time.
She loved her cruises, QVC and especially her family.
I will miss her!

I remember Whipple Street, the corner
"baseball diamond" the house towards the
middle of the block, the wonderful
family that lived there, the parties,
slow dancing with the two beautiful
daughters of the household. They all
were missed when they moved away to
Park Ridge. These are among the memories
I will always cherish.

We will miss you fun-loving spirit every month when you would pick up Market Day. You had a true passion for life and enjoying every moment with all of the cruises or trips you would take and then come back and be all smiles. Joe will miss his hug for carrying out your order. You meant the world to us. The angels are lucky to have you! Good bye dear friend!!

Bob and I were just looking at our wedding photos, we have one of Mar pelting me with the bird seed! She had a great right hook. Love to all the family, she really was one of a kind and the world is a little to quite without her.
God Bless

A special Aunt and a dear Godmother whose laugh could be heard for miles. Traveling was a passion of hers and she got to see a lot of the world in her travels. We will miss you. Love, Cindy
