7/16/11- I came across an old weaving sample given me by Marie when we were friends in Madison in the '70's and searched for her name to see where she was. The obituary gave me a start, alas. We talked daily (she DID like to talk) and shared many weaving times both in the state guild and locally. I'll keep my thoughts on the happy times when we were busily weaving and planning our next projects.

I send my sympathies to you.

Mimi Cooper Smith, now of Sarasota FL, past President of Cincinnati Weavers Guild and the Manasota (Sarasota) Weavers Guild and present member of Florida State Weavers Guild and Complex Weavers.

As a volunteer at the nursing home where Marie died, I had very frequent contact with her and with her devoted husband, Frank. Marie was a beautiful lady, and we, in the Recreation Department, were always pleased to see her in attendance at our various programs.
My condolences go to Frank and their family. We'll all miss her
