Uncle Morrie,

We all miss you more and more with each day that passes. When the family gets together it's hard to ignore the feeling that something is missing. It's hard to accept all that has happened but what gets us through is all the wonderful memories we have had with you. You were a big part of my life, my godfather, someone I looked up to. Love you.

Michael and the Colletta family -- How can you remember Morrie without seeing that dazzling smile on his face. He was a beautiful man and a great friend. One of my fondest memories of Morrie was when we played in the basement of the funeral home on 26th Street. To this day it still makes me laugh at all the crazy stunts we pulled. Nancy and I extend our deepest sympathies and love to all of your family.

I sent my condolences when I heard of cousin Morrie's passing on to heaven last week. I attended the wake and funeral and saw Morrie's interview about his buddy Brian Piccolo on the TV screen at the funeral home as well. What happened today was unforgetable that I wanted to share with you. I called my insurance company to get some information on my medical plan . The customer service rep put me on "hold" to gather the information that I needed. Then the music that came over the phone was the theme to the movie Brian's Song about Brian Piccolo starring James Caan and Billy Dee Williams. Knowing that Morrie was very good friends w/ Brian Piccolo many years ago, it was really ironic that of all the songs and kinds of music in the world that could have been played while on "hold" today at that particular time in the day when I called , that music theme song played to me. I believe Morrie is alive and well w/ God.

To the Coletta Family, We were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Morrie. The Bills Family and the Greifenstein Family (Holden Drugs - Louie on 25th & Wentworth) go back a long way. We always have been a close community, even though some of us have moved, we always dearly remember those from "the neighborhood " - our beloved Bridgeport! Coletta Funeral home has served our families well through the years, most recently with the passing of my sister Dolly in May of this year. Everyone always knew that they were in good hands with the Coletta's, especially during our most difficult of times. We will remember Morrie in our prayers. Know that he will continue watching over you, just from a "higher" place. May he rest in peace and may all of his family be sustained by wonderful memories. God Bless!
