Marianne Bartlett Obituary

Bartlett, Marianne

Marianne D. Bartlett, 99, died on January 6, 2022, in Bolingbrook IL. She was a long time resident of the Clearing neighborhood in Chicago. She is survived by her children Judy (Dave) Sanderson, Jack (Linda) Bartlett, Janice (Mike) Miller and Kevin (Michele) Bartlett and her sisters Jean Fisk and Grace Daley. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, as well as many loved nieces and nephews.

Marianne was a baker and cook who loved nothing better than to share her talents with family and friends. She worked at David Berg and the Museum of Science and Industry. She was a long time Democratic election judge as well. She took great joy in her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She served her country in WWII as a pharmacist mate in the U.S. Navy WAVES. Visiting with family and friends, eating good food and enjoying a glass or two of wine were things she loved. There will be a celebration of life at a later date this year to honor her 100th birthday.

Our memories of Gramma Bartlett are confined to Jason and Emily´s wedding in 2014. Specifically the rehearsal dinner at Kelsey´s where she stole the show so to speak. She was wonderful to talk to and had a sparkle in her eyes that belied her age. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to her beloved family and all those who loved her. RIP "Gramma Bartlett"- enjoy your 100th Birthday with the Angels.
