Dear family and friends,
Though I lost touch with Maggie in our adult lives, I remember our wonderful years at Regina. She was always a bright spot in some of our more "dreary" classes and will be fondly remembered.

Dear Mitchell Family,
I'd like to share some of the wonderful Maggie that I knew with all of you. We met when we were both working on a locked psych unit at Lutheran General Hospital. She and I went to Italy & Switzerland in 1974...my first trip, Maggie was already a pro....she taught me how to drink wine and buy gold jewelry in Venice - we had a ball at the Gucci store in Rome and spent a few days at Largo Di Garda in Northern Italy - what a wonderful adventure for 2 young women. We met a lovely lady from Mexico who was dropping her daughter off to finishing school in Lausanne, Switzerland - she invited us to use her "weekend" home in Acapulco sometime...so, the following January we escaped Chicago and had a blast at Aurora's house in Acapulco - complete with cook and chauffer. Lots more adventures followed. Another was a New Year's Eve - Maggie was already in the Astor St. apartment - neither of us had dates, so I went over to her place and we decided to bop around Rush St - we were in jeans, we met 2 guys who were in tuxedos - they insisted they wanted to take us to Maxim's....we finally agreed to try - and, sure enough these fellows talked the maitre d' into letting us in in jeans...don't remember their names...a good time was had by all....and so it went...Mitchell Jamborees, weddings, babies, etc. It was tough when Maggie's cancer was diagnosed - what a courageous woman she was - battling the horrible disease with dignity and humor. I moved to Phoenix in 1986 - got married in 1997 and Maggie made it out to my wedding....we had a ball. She made it out to Phoenix a couple of more times before moving to Indianapolis...
Maggie was a great friend and an incredible woman. She touched lots of lives in a very positive way.
She will be missed.
My heartfelt condolences on the loss of your sister, sister-in-law and auntie. But, she is now at peace!
With special thoughts,

I was saddened to learn about Maggie's passing. I went to law school with her and we remained friends for years after that. I regret that we lost touch. I'll never forget her sense of humor, her fierce loyalty and her refusal to back down from the bullies of the world. She was really a special person and I'll miss her.
