Margarita Ruiz Obituary

Ruiz, Margarita Age 80, of Elgin passed away on March 20, 2012 in her home. She was born on June 6, 1931 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Rafael and Rosaura (Rosales) Galaviz. Margarita had worked for the Veteran Administration many years prior to her retirement. Loving wife to Lorenzo, whom she married on June 15, 1963. Beloved mother of Paulette Darbor, Ralph "Butch" Ruiz and Veronica (Scott) Betz. Fond grandmother of Serena, David, Sarah, Dominic, Jenna, Jason, John and Christine. Dear sister of Benjamin, Bertha, Helen, Roz, Ann, Rebecca, Beatrice, Patricia, and the late Edward. Step daughter of the late Henry Lopez, and Aunt of many. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Laurence Catholic Church, Elgin with Rev. Kenneth Wasilewski officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-9:00 P.M. at the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St. (Rt. 31), Elgin IL 60123 and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of mass.
