Margaret was an amazing lady,

i wish i could have known her.

I was very sorry to hear of the death of your mom. Unfortunately I was out of town and unable to attend the services for her. Please accept Patti's and my condolences. You were both so lucky to have such a wonderful mother and she was obviously a great woman to leave us with such a kind, friendly and generous family.

As an alumnus (class of '47) of St. Ignatius College Prep, I want to thank you for all your support and kindness to us Jesuits and to the School that has meant so much to so many over so many years. Margaret's spirit is clearly in you and has spread to us too. She saw with eyes of faith all the opportunties of living generously and creatively each day. I'm sure that heaven too will be a place of opportunity for her to be close to you in more marvelous ways. I am offering several Masses for her.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Walsh family at this time.

I am a Jesuit priest living at St. Ignatius College Prep. I am also a graduate of St. Ignatius, the class of 1942. The Jesuits are very grateful for the many helps that the Walsh family has done for St. Ignatius.

Margaret and Matthew have trained their children very well. I think of the Jobs at the Walsh Construction Company that have provided support for countless Chicago families!

I am sure that Margaret and Matthew are enjoying great rewards with Our Lady in Heaven!

Margaret was truly one of the special people in this world and she will be sadly missed.

Matt and Dan, We were sorry to hear of your mother's death. She had an incredible life. I can remember meeting her when I was in grammar school and she was always gracious and fun.I had not seen her in over thirty years and the last time I saw her, a few years ago, she was still gracious and full of life. Her life should be an example for all of us. We will remember your mother and all the Walsh family in our prayers.

Margaret was the sister to my grandfather, George and I although we didn't see her often, when we did, I was always impressed by how beautiful and strong she was. I'm very sorry for your loss. My prayers are with your family.

We just read in the online Chicago Tribune obituary section about Margaret. (We are currently on a holiday in Venice, Fla.)



What a super life she had! We had no idea she was that old because she was always the same. I even saw her at Ridge a few months back and she remembered my name, etc.
