Each time I was back for a visit in beautiful Chicago,I would pay a visit to the Buckingham. It was precious because of the love and caring that I would receive from dear Margaret Stern, a""h. She and the rest of the family have meant so much to me for all of these years. Sandy, Rabbi Sanford H. Shudnow

It is impossible to express in words the greatness of your mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Margaret Stern, z"l. She represented the finest that is our people. She and indeed the Stern Family have been of pivotal importance to our family. Without her, we would all be diminished and not the people that we are. Her loss to all of us is inestimable and leaves a void, that can never be filled. To say that she was loved, is to say only the tiniest portion of how we felt about her. But even more importantly, she made us all feel loved. HaMakom Yinachem Etchem...May her memory be for a blessing.

Please accept our condolences in the passing of Margaret Stern. Our mother, Geraldine Hanan, was a resident of Buckingham Pavilion from April 1, 2003, until June 22, 2003. Both Mrs. Stern and her son, Sheldon, went out of their way to ensure our mom had a room available when she needed to come to the Chicago area from Washington state on very short notice. Again, our condolences.
