Margaret was a good friend of my parents for many years. She was kind, funny and such a good person. My dad called her "Sophia" sometimes for reasons I cannot remember. My mom drank a lot of tea with her at the Claremont house. I have so many good memories of time spent with Margaret...and Charlie...and I am so sorry that I didn't get to visit when they moved back to the Chicago area from California. To all the Maier "kids".....your mom was one of my favorites and I know she will be missed by so many. Dave and I send our sympathy to you all.

Margaret was the embodiment of true grace. She showed the world what it meant to be a great woman, an extraordinary mother and the neighbor every person hopes for. Sincere condolences to all the Maier family.
