On August 5, 2006. Age 83. (nee Boyle) Of Gloucester City. Loving and devoted wife of 64 years to Paul Heitman. Beloved mother of Paul Heitman, Jr. (Sandra) of Clermont, Florida; Joseph Heitman (Barbara) of Barnsboro, Patrick Heitman (Kathleen) of Mantua and Michael Heitman (Jane) of Gloucester City. Dear Sister of Charles Boyle (Teresa) of Gloucester City. Loving Sister-In-Law Ann Catri of the Villages Florida. Loving grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 4. Margaret was born, raised and lived her entire 83 years in Gloucester City. She was a devoted parishioner and very active in Saint Mary’s R.C. Church where she took great pride in helping with the Needy Children’s Christmas Fund. Margaret was a pioneer in starting and operating the Meals on Wheels Program. She took great pride and personal care in helping senior citizens with their daily activities which included transportation and daily phone calls. Margaret was an originator in starting the Office on Aging Program through Saint Mary’s R.C. Parish. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday Evening 6 to 9 pm and Thursday morning 9 am to 10 am at McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street, (at Brown Street) Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am at Saint Mary’s R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ. Interment Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. Family requests that memorial donations in Margaret’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association: 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, Maryland 21093. Please write in the memo of the check, Margaret Heitman. The world's loss is heavens gain. Aunt Margaret is now with the one she loved and obeyed her entire life. She is in good hands. A loving wife and mother, a God fearing, fun to be around person. My mothers best friend and my favorite aunt. I will always love her.
