Margaret Blake Obituary

Dear Tom & Family, After knowing Marge for forty years, I miss and appreciate our friendship so very much. We had fun shopping, dining, going to the movies, but most of all just visiting & keeping up with each others families. She never complained about her illness or expressed "why me". I really loved & remember her laugh. I think of all of you & what a difficult time this is. She was a great person & will not be forgotten.

This is what I wrote to you our first Christmas together.I have tried to keep my promise to you Sweetheart.
This is my love, my love for you,the promise that I make. That all I ever do will be for your beloved sake. My every thought will be a scheem for desirous sucess, to comfort you my darling and bring you happiness. My every effort in this life and all that I may own ,I offer you my darling for you and you alone. This is my love, my sacred vow ,that I will cherish you,and I will honor and obey and be forever true.This is the promise from my soul,in deep sincerity.
This is the love I offer you for all eternity! You gave me fourty seven years of love ,Companionship and laughter. My heart is broken.I will love you forever.I know your suffering is over but mine has just begun.I love and miss you Margaret Mary, every moment of every day.

I got to know Marge through the book club we both attended. What a neat woman! I loved her sense of humor, her optimism, and her wide range of interests. She was so proud of her grandchildren (children too!). May God be with you through this difficult time.

Hi Tom & family,
I worked with Marge at Christ Hospital. We always had such a good time together & because of her Irish spirit did alot of laughing. She was so short that her legs didn't hit the floor when she sat, so she would sit there swinging her legs like a little girl. I got the biggest charge out of that. I always remember her swinging those short little legs. She has endured much & so have you Tom & certainly deserve a lot of credit for keeping her alive all this time. I always admired your relationship & thought it to be something special. I've prayed for her every night & will continue to do so for all of you still.

In my limited contacts with Margaret, I was impressed with the fact that the seemed to always have a smile on her pretty face in spite of the difficulties she was experiencing. Her eyes seemed to say that she was always on the brink of another clever and funny statement. My wife Julie knew her much better, and has always had such positive things to say about Margaret. God bless you Tom, and the rest of the family, in this difficult, difficult loss. We will be praying for you all.

Dear Tom and family,
I am so thankful that I had the wonderful opportunity to journey through nursing school at Little Company of Mary with Marge. I instantly gravitated to her warm personality, smile, love and laughter! She became a great friend to me, and I know she loved me like a mother! I was always amazed at how she balanced family and school! I know she loved being a nurse, but she especially loved being a wife, mom, and grandma. Tom & Marge were a true love story. Your love was palpable! I know Marge was so very proud of her children, their spouses, and all of her grandchildren. She is my hero! I will always pray to Mary and St. Therese in thanksgiving for Marge and for the years we had together! "Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never the same." Marge and her family have left me with lasting memories of a family filled with love, and for that I'm grateful! First, I offer you my sincerest of sympathies.....your Margie was a real gift to so many people.....she and Larry had such a special bond and friendship and I am ever so confident that they are sharing all kinds of happenings in their heavenly home in their new and glorious bodies.
Second, I know how your hearts are breaking and I pray that God will comfort you and hold you in the palms of His hands and give you peace.....trust in Him for that.....He does not abandon us nor give us more than we can stand.
Third, I thank you for all your updated e-mails on Marge's hospitalizations as well as her condition.....she was continually in my prayers for healing and strength.
The holidays will be difficult for all of you, but be assured that Marge is celebrating Christmas with her Savior and is free from all pain and discomfort......and you will see her again!!

Tom and Family - Marge had such a strong and wonderful spirit; she loved her family, embraced her friends and never gave up in her faith in God. You must take your strength from her ways in these sad and difficult times. She will still be your rock.

We only knew marge a very short time and are very saddened by your loss.
