I was a member of first Chicago NOW and then Skokie-Lincolnwood NOW with Margaret and attended many meetings, and then board meetings with Margaret and at her home, as well as at least one State convention. She was a special woman, who was willing to share her dedication and energy to causes she held dear. More than once I marched with her while she carried the sign that was patterned after her mother's (or grandmother's) sufferigette (sorry - today I can't spell) sign. I have since moved from the Chicago area and was notified of Margaret's passing by our mutual friend, Mary Jane Jeffries-Vogt. My sincere condolences to Margaret's family. Cindy Kai

I was sorry to hear of your loss. When I think about the fond memories I have growing up on LeClaire, your mother is very much apart of them. One special memory is of her choosing me to wear her wedding gown for the block party fashion show. She always had time to stop and say hello when she would see me walking down the street. My thoughts and prays are with you.
