I met Marcie in 1995 at a Chicago Jewish Singles Shabbat dinner. We became instant friends. I enjoyed her adventurous spirit, her talent in pottery and her incredible warm. She visited us in Toronto about 5 years later w her new husband Jerry. I remember how excited we both were that we had finally found husbands! I always wish I had met her years earlier, but am grateful for the time I did have. I have 2 of her pottery pieces, which I cherish. I miss her.

Marcie was a great designer of pottery. I knew her & the family growing up. She always had a smile on her face. It is so painful for a parent to have her child pass before her. Sure she will be an angel on loved ones' shoulders. Strength & prayers. Roz

I've been shopping at Marcy's store for about 9 years. I bought some of her beautiful barnwood furniture, which she delivered to my place herself. We were both so excited, she threw her arms around me and gave me a hug. I was happy that she found Jerry, was able to have her wonderful shop and make a nice life for herself. She brought beauty into the world, and I'm sad that she is gone.

Shortly after I met Marcy she closed her studio to concentrate on her store. Soon after, she showed up at my studio with all her glazes and underglazes and refused to accept any money.
When my husband's daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor, she volunteered much helpful information and cheerful support over many agonizing weeks.
We said we'd get our two Jerrys together, but her tumors intervened.
It was a privilege to have known Marcy.
