Mom,
I can't believe ten years have come and gone. The family you and Papi created continues on stronger than ever. We have had so many weddings, graduations, and new additions to the family. You are missed beyond measure and your abscence is felt by all of us each and every day. Even now we remember you with love and affection that will never fade. The newer generation know all about you because their parents have passed your legacy on. I love you and miss you always.

Love,
Rosie

Dear Mom,
It has been a year since we watched you take your last breath. Our hearts were breaking as we watched you slip away from us. I wanted to feel your arms hug me just one last time. I will always cherish having a mom like you. You were our one and only Mami and we loved you with all our heart and always will. You are always with us in mind and spirit and that is something that can never be taken from us. My hope is to see you once again. So until then I love you mom and know that from this day forward we will not focus on how you died but on how you lived.

Love always and forever,

Rosie

A Letter to Mom
Dear Mom,
One year ago on May 24, 2010 you took your last breath with all your children at your side. It was the hardest day of our lives even though it meant you would no longer be suffering. I hurt knowing that as strong as you were that your pain was unbearable and we couldn't take it away. My comfort comes in knowing you no longer are in pain. I will forever miss you and all you were to this family. I hope that we as a family will continue to move forward in a way that honors you. I am choosing to no longer focus on how you died but on how you lived. Love you always and forever mom.

Love, Rosie

Even though we lost 10 yrs of our lives together, I thank God for the 44 yrs we did have. You always pushed us to the max and that's why I am who I am today and for that I thank you. You invented the pony tail on the side style (private joke) and taught us family values, that is the reason we now have a BIG, STRONG family unit. Even though we are not perfect, far from it, and we may not agree sometimes with each other but you taught us not to hold grudges and to be there for each other no matter what. I will forever carry you in my heart & in the beautiful memories you left behind. Love you MOM! Your, Carmela ( hated that name by the way, LOL!)

Wow!! It's been 1 year today. I miss her sooo much. She was always there when there was a need. On the first day of school she would sit on the porch and pass out pens, and pencils to the kids that would pass in front of her house. She would buy umbrellas and when it was raining she would sit on the porch and give them to the mothers that had to go pick up their kids from school. That's who she was and I love her sooo much.

together always!

So it's been a year since you've been gone and Looking back at all the memories and pictures, we realize that our lives are borrowed here on this earth and let me tell you that i am so glad that God let us borrow you for as long as he did, and although some may have thought u were taken too soon i know that he took you for a greater purpose.. we have realized that sometimes we take things/people for granted and think we are gonna be here forever but death is inevitable. and we must learn to appreciate eachother and appreciate the good in each and every one of us.. lets stop taking eachother for granted and live our lives appreciating one another like she taught us.. love u grandma always and forever you will always be greatly missed. and like merari said you would have loved my leilah to pieces too..

Abuela, Words cannot express the depth of my sorrow. Only God knows how much I am going to miss every little thing about you. The sound of your voice, your little chuckles, the way you always knew me and christina were laughing at something funny you did or said. It wasn't until I had to face your loss that I ever imagined I could feel anything so deeply. You were the best grandma anyone can ever have. I am not ever going to be same without you. You take the best part me with you. I should've told you every single day how much I loved you, I hope you knew that in the very special way that you knew everything. If only i could have kept you with me just a little bit longer, I wasn't ready to let you go. I honestly wasn't prepared for this grandma. I know this was supposed to be for messages to the family, but I wanted to leave this message for you. You were the backbone of this family and I wanted you to know from me your Laurita how much I Love you and How much I am going to miss you.

I was blessed to have this amazing woman as my aunt. After the passing of my mom, Aunt Marcy made every effort to participate in significant family functions. She truly was the matriarch of this family and will be deeply missed. I carry with me many, many fond memories that me and my children will never forget. Debbie
