Marc McMurray Obituary

Marc Eldon McMurray 1984 ~ 2008 Marc Eldon McMurray passed away Wednesday November 19, 2008 quietly in his home. Marc was born May 16, 1984 to Eldon and Diane Alexander McMurray in Payson, Utah and attended schools in Payson. He graduated in 2005 and attended Utah Valley State College. Marc was active in scouting, earning his Eagle Scout Award at the age of 13. He attracted a wide variety of friends for whom he set a perfect example of unconditional love and acceptance. Marc's circle of friends was ever growing. Through his empathy he embraced the downhearted and those who he recognized faced difficult challenges in life. He was truly an example to others. While some kids would bring home animals, Marc had a knack for finding people in need of love and he cared for them in his kind and charismatic way. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with his cousins and his best friend Blake Jorgenson. When Marc was 19 he suffered an injury that left him in constant pain. He endured the unfortunate situation with remarkable courage for nearly five years and it refined his character and deepened his wisdom. He is now free of pain and in the arms of his Heavenly Father. Though he struggled with many health issues Marc loved life and was an especially beloved uncle to his niece Adrianna and two nephews Tacen and Cohen. Marc is survived by his Grandparents Ben and Jolene Alexander, and Ellen McMurray along with his parents and four siblings Ben, Adam, Kristi and Megan, and the love of his life, his sweetheart Joan McGinnis. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 25, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at the Payson South Stake Center, 711 South 600 East, Payson. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Monday, 6-8:00 p.m. or at the church Tuesday, 945-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
