Maggie Mays Obituary

Maggie B. Mays, 63, of Hot Springs, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, died Saturday, March 6, 2004 in a local hospital. Born January 2, 1941 in Memphis, Tennessee to Robert and Lenoa Smith Bell, she was of the Baptist faith and retired from Keebler.

She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Alonzo Mays, Jr.

Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Mays, Karen Mays (Baker) and Marilyn Mays, all of Hot Springs; six brothers, Chester Bell of Oak Park, Illinois, Robert Bell, Jr., Author Bell, Fredrick Bell and Gregory Bell, all of Chicago, Illinois and Everett Bell of Elgin, Illinois; four sisters, Beverly Bell, Deborah Bell and Helen Bell, all of Chicago, Illinois and Cynthia Bell of Atlanta, Georgia; two sons-in-law, Anthony Holliman and Leonard Baker, both of Hot Springs; two special friends, Thomas Blates of Chicago, Illinois and Janet George of Hot Springs; two grandchildren, Chanece Mays and De’Andre Mays, both of Hot Springs and one great-grandchild, De’Andre Mays, Jr. of Hot Springs.

Services will be held in Chicago, Illinois
