I still just can not believe my baby sister is gone. Her face comes into my head a hundred times a day. Sometimes I smile and sometimes I am over come with shear sadness-I think why did God want her so soon and without any warning to all who loved her.I miss her so much. I miss the the completness of having all eight of us as siblings together. It just does not seem real. But yet it is....

And so it goes. The world needs all its funny people who could and would laugh at just about anything...with a laugh everyone remembers. Get them laughing up there, Madonna - the Caddigans need a giggle or two. Miss you, cousin.

The unexpected death of a loved one is the most difficult to accept and understand for those left behind. It is, perhaps, the easiest transition to those who are making their journey to God.Try to hold on to that in the coming days and years when there is a hole in your heart and family. My prayers to you.

Madonna was my best friend and godmother to my youngest son Jordan who will turn 21 on Sunday Feb. 27th. We will miss her dearly and will never forget all the GREAT times we had especially the Doyle family parties, when we went to pick up her dog Bo (he was the craziest one but she wanted him), the births of the kids, long talks, books, movies, cooking, wallpapering, painting... I could go on and on. The Doyles always made me feel like one of their own.
I had never heard her sound more happy than when she wrote to tell me that she had met the love of her life- Jimmy. She was absoutely gushing. I am so greatful that she had him in her life. What a great guy!
I will cherish her last letter to me which said she loved me and always considered me her best friend and soulmate in friendship. We had some great times and some not so great times but we thought of each other every day. I LOVED HER and will miss her greatly. Even though our paths went seperate ways in recent years we kept in contact through letters and the occasional hours long phone calls. Madonna will always be a hugh part of my life and I will never forgot all the crazy, fun, often serious times we had. She was there with me for the births of Lindsey, Kyle and Jordan and she was the one I could always count on to take me to my chemo treatments. We could cry to each other but we could always make the other feel so much better. I will NEVER forget our friendship and she will always be a hugh part of my life but I know I will meet her again and she will save a special spot for me in heaven. We now have another Angel looking over us. I LOVE YOU MADONNA and I love the Doyle clan....and I know she is back with her mommy and daddy whom she missed and loved so dearly. Love to all -- Sandy

Madonna had this loud infectious laugh that was hard to ignore or fight. When she laughed everyone knew it and would look around giggling and then start laughing themselves. When Madonna was around it was hard to be down in the dumps, she made you happy and laugh uncontrollably. I will miss you Madonna, but the one thing I can say is I am glad m kids can say they met their GREAT Aunt Madonna.

We did not know Madonna, just of her, through her mother in law, Charlotte Nichols, who we saw the very day before Madonna joined the angels. Shock adds to grief. We lost a son at 39 years of age. We know your pain. Knowing that she passed from life to life everlasting will sustain us all. With sincere sympathy,

Any memory of Madonna will always feature that smile. She had a smile that could fill a room, warm a heart and every other cliche that gets tacked onto the kind of smile that endures in any of life's tragedies. I wish I could have seen more of it throughout the years. My deepest condolences to the entire Doyle clan.

I think of you and all the wonderful things that made you you. From the timid cycle on the dryer to loving pickles, olives, jays bq-chips to campaigning to be godmother of my son and being with me when I met Patrick, to watching you give the babies a bath and taking me to see Bruce. Then always being there to lend a hand. You will always be my baby sister and I will hold you in my heart forever. I am so very sad I wil never hear you laugh again. Maggie

When is comes to little sisters, what can I say? You were the best! You taught me so many things from how to put make-up on to standing up for myself. You helped keep my secrets, share my happiness and cried with me during the sadness. I will miss you more than I can express. You are one of the original STRIPES. We have lots of memories that will live on through the generations.

I can't stop crying. The thought of Madonna never being in my life again makes me ache. Her eyes were full of sparkle and her heart was filled with love. She liked everyone. She was unselfish, fun, and had a charisma that made everyone love her. My favorite part about going to dinner with the Doyles was sitting around the table talking with the ladies. Madonna's spot at the table will forever be missed.
