Sr. Josephine was one of my favorite sisters at MAA. She always had a smile when I saw her & I especially remember the twinkle in her eyes. She was a very special lady. I will keep her in my prayers. God's blessings to family and friends.

I just learned of Sister's passing.
Sister Josephine was one of the best teachers at MAA when I attended from 1955-59. I had her for Science and Biology and she was an excellent teacher with a wonderful sense of humor. My sympathy to her family. May God rest her soul.
Sincerely, Judy(Splitt) Sandberg, Class of '59.

My sympathy and prayers are with Sr. Josephine's family. She taught me at Mt. Assisi and was a favorite teacher of mine! Besides subject areas, she taught me a lot about God and life itself! I truly remember so many special times in her classroom. Her classes were always fun as Sister Josephine had a great sense of humor! She was the one who encouraged me to wear my new eyeglasses and not to be "so vain," as she stated. Because of Sister, I wanted to become the type of a teacher that she was: kind, thoughtful, empathetic, fun-loving, helpful, compassionate, good-hearted, and devoted to teaching children. I hope I have followed in her footsteps! She was a hard act to follow! What a role model Sr. Josephine was to all of us girls back in the 1960's. They say people sometimes don't know what a difference they make in another's life. Well, Sr. Josephine surely made a tremendous difference in MY life!! May you find peace and comfort knowing that relatives and friends are remembering Sr. Josephine and you in their thoughts and prayers.

Heaven is also forever changed.
Sr. Josephine is reunited with those gone before. Smiles flash across the skies in celebration. Tears are wiped away and replaced with peace. And we will all meet again someday!

Jesus walks among us still, bringing His peace to all who need it. May He be especially close to all of you at this time.

Most sincerely,

Lee & Rosemary Dignan

I remeber Sr. Josephine from my years at Mt. Assisi High School. Of all the teachers, she was the best and we all loved her. She will be in my prayers as she is in my special memories.
