Lynne Majewski Obituary

Majewski, Lynne (nee Ditzler) Succumbed to stage 4 cancer on December 20, 2018. Lynne was a beloved friend, companion, mother and grandmother. Stylish, smart, self-taught and self-made, Lynne was a groundbreaking businessperson and trail blazer for women in the import/export business in a market dominated by men and big business in the 1970s. Ever creative and entrepreneurial, she founded her own company while simultaneously raising her two sons. The daughter of a grocer and an executive secretary, Lynne was born in Chicago and lived in Barrington, Illinois and Greensboro, Georgia. She is survived by her longtime companion, Gerald Morris; her two sons, Scott Landis and Dallas Majewski; grandchildren, Brittany Majewski, Ella Landis and Nathaniel Landis; great-grandson, Dominick Majewski; and her sister, Judy James. Donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and there will be a celebration of her life in the spring with details forthcoming. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
