Lynn Beard Obituary

Beard, Lynn Marie 58, born in Chicago IL on March 5, 1957, quietly released her body on December 16, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital, 1725 W. Harrison Street, Chicago, IL. Her younger sister, Susan (Gay) was with her as she made her transition. Lynn lived in Chicago all of her life. With her sisters, Jill and Susan, she had attended elementary school and later graduated from Kenwood High School in 1977. After Special courses in nursing and hospital management, she worked at Lutheran General, Park Ridge, IL, St. Joseph Hospital, Lincoln Park, IL and Provident Hospital, Chicago, IL, helping others to recover from illnesses. When her mother (Beverly), and sisters (Jill and "Gay") relocated to New Jersey, Lynn stayed in Chicago, and continued her career. Finally, she dedicated herself to the care of her father (Elmer Beard) in his last years of life. She continued supervising his care even as she experienced difficulties herself. Lynn's surviving sister, Susan (Gay) Beard, and mother, Beverly (Woodard/Beard) Wielkocz reside in Teaneck, NJ and will miss her visits with them and their visits to Chicago to be with her. Her aunts, uncles and cousins in and out of Chicago will feel the loss. Lynn knew what to do to help others. Her remaining family; mother, Beverly (Beard) Wielkocz; sister, Susan (Gay) Beard; one son and grandchild will miss being with her, but love the memory of her encouraging personality. No services will be held in Chicago. A private memorial will be conducted in Teaneck, NJ.
