Lyman Ingram Obituary

Mr. Lyman Perry Ingram, Jr. was born July 31, 1945 to the late Lyman Perry Ingram Sr. and Carlee Ingram in Jackson, Michigan. Perry Jr. departed this life at the age of 68 on August 3, 2013. He lived his adult life at Lyon's Adult Care Home, Hope House Care Home, and his last residence was at Arbor Manor Rest Home, where he was well cared for. He was loved by everyone that came into contact with him. He loved his racing cars and race cards. He loved watching racing on TV. He also collected pictures of family members and friends, bead necklaces and hats. Perry Jr. was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carolyn Ingram. He is survived by his aunts: Elizabeth Walton, Irma Trice and Oddie Trice; special cousins: Fay Ingram and Pat Moore. We tried our best to look out for our cousin. (We love you, Perry Jr.) He also leaves a host of cousins and friends. A special thanks to his guardian, Marsha Smith. You did an outstanding job and you really cared about Perry Jr. We also thank the nurses and staff at Arbor Manor. We saw how you cared for and treated Perry. He loved it there. We also thank his hospice nurse. You cared for him and his sister, Carolyn. We thank everyone that visited our cousin. May God bless you all.

I remember Perry Jr from back in the Merriman Street Days. I lived around the corner on Avery and the neighborhood crowd Tony and Jeff Cotton and all would always be ready for a good game of football or hanging out looking for grass snakes. I think of him often. God will always have a place in his home for Perry and Ms Carolyn.
